Privacy Policy
How Pocket Muscles stores and syncs your workout data.
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Pocket Muscles (“the App”) helps you log workouts and routines. This policy explains what information the App stores and how sync works.
Information the App stores
Depending on how you use the App, it may store:
- Workout and exercise logs you enter (for example exercise names, sets, reps, weight, distance, duration, notes, and rest-timer preferences)
- Routines and templates you create
- Optional display name you enter in Settings
- App preferences (such as appearance and units)
This information is user-generated fitness and workout content you provide in the App. The App does not access Apple Health (HealthKit), Motion & Fitness APIs for health monitoring, contacts, location, photos, or the microphone.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud on your device and CloudKit sync is available, the App may sync your workouts, routines, and exercises across your devices using Apple’s CloudKit (a private database associated with your Apple Account).
- Sync is provided through Apple iCloud / CloudKit.
- Data synced this way is tied to your Apple Account and is not published to other users by the App.
- Apple’s handling of iCloud data is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.
We do not operate a separate Pocket Muscles user account system, and we do not run our own server that receives your workout logs.
How information is used
Your data is used only to provide App features: logging workouts, building routines, showing history and stats, rest timer / Live Activity, and syncing across your devices.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your workout data for advertising, data brokers, or cross-app tracking.
Sharing
We do not share your workout data with third-party advertisers or analytics companies. Sync uses Apple CloudKit as described above.
Website hosting (GitHub Pages)
This support website is hosted on GitHub Pages. When you visit the site, GitHub may collect visitor information — including logs of visitor IP addresses — to comply with legal obligations and to maintain the security and integrity of GitHub’s services, whether or not you are signed in to GitHub. For details, see GitHub’s Privacy Statement and GitHub Pages data collection.
We do not run our own analytics on this website, and we do not use tracking cookies for advertising.
Retention and deletion
- You can delete workouts and routines inside the App.
- You can erase the App and its on-device data by deleting the App from your device.
- Data stored in iCloud remains under your Apple Account. You can manage iCloud data in device Settings under your Apple Account → iCloud, or through Apple’s account tools for your region.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
